Hello,
When you are an admin on the board. Your allowed to switch who posted stuff. That is what I am trying to do with one post. But however when I click submit, I get this error
The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.
Any ideas as to why?
Thanks, Evo

are you sure you are entering the username correctly? you could always try the find member link and see if that works

right...ok then, are you sure have the correct permissions to allow you doing it and you are doing the following below:
viewing the forum you wish to change poster > clicking on the mod CP > clicking post details on the post you wish to edit >change poster details > click confirm

Strange one this. I use this facility all the time on my two boards without any problem. It's not as though it's difficult process but it does sound as though the form is being rejected by php.
MD: Could this be style problem? I thought the ACP was a fixed style so what effects one user would effect us all.

have you tried changing your style? as PanHandle said...it could be a style problem as I have no troubles doing it on my forums

This may sound an odd question but are you signed in with administrator privileges when trying to change the name of a poster? You said... Evo wrote: I click the button on the post - Type in my username - Click submit - Receive error. If you're already signed in under one user name and try and change one of your postings to the same user name that may present a conflict. To use this facility you need to be signed as administrator and the forum must have Administrators in the forum permissions.

I only have one account on my board. That's the administrator(founder) account!

this may sound weird but...have you allowed any other users to be founders, and have they fiddled with your account permissions so you are no longer a founder or have altered your permissions so you cannot allow you to what you want to do
