could we have an update about how far you have got up with installing this with the list of templates please? I would like to change my template but I do not want to choose one where the footer has not been installed yet
many thanks,

Haven't worked any further on it at the moment, busy with local projects.

Footer is the bottom of the page... config table has a varchar(255) :o You'll probs have to create a new table for the code or alter the config_value field (I've had the same problem with my portal MOD I am working on ).

the option is available in the ACP first page and is called "footer code (New)", click on that option and it will show up a box for you to place your information in. It will not work with all templates yet as md has not finished configuring it with all the templates

I've been running Google Analytics from the footer for about a week now without any problems. The data makes interesting reading although I must profess an ignorance on how to make use of it in a forum environment other than as a glorified hit counter!! I can see how it might be useful on a commercial website when used in conjunction with AdWords or AdSense.
