Please change the size of avatar to 40.00 or 30.00 KiB please, my members want put Avatars and they can't. The files are too big...

Please... I need this so much :s_sad

It is very unlikely the avatar size will be reduced, however tell your members to create smaller avatars or save as a jpg.

They save in jpg, but is very difficult to put with just 20 Kb, is so small :s_sad

they could always put their avatar in their signature if it's too big. Just an idea.

Tha image have the right dimensios, but if they do their avatars in photoshop os very difficult have just 20Kb :s_sorry

what about setting up an account like photobucket for you to upload the avatars to and then use the link to off site avatar or get them to host their avatars themselves and link them

It's not just an upload limitation, its a limitation put on Avatars altogether.

so how come the off site avatar URL has the same limitations then as if you were uploading them to the boards?

Page loading time. We dont want someone to upload a MASSIVE image which makes the pages of the forum take 30-60+ seconds to load. It's just as bad as having a laggy forum, which is why we don't upload every MOD imaginable. Even though they are externally linked, they still have to load (externally linking just increases the # of images you can display on your forum).

We want to provide top-notch service to not only the Board Administrators and owners, but their users as well. :s_smile
