We're alittle behind on the curve, this evening I finished the migration to PhpBB v3.0.1. We have, of course, patched the 3 minor security fixes right away but the unusually large number of code changes slowed us down a bit. Much of the reason we waited was due in part to, again, an unusually large number of template changes as well. We have been waiting for template authors to update their templates, and to date only about 2/3 of them have been updated. Not wanting to wait any longer we started rolling them out ourselves yesterday.
For now, if you encounter any strange behavior please report it in this thread promptly so we can fix it. I'll be out of the office tomorrow morning so fixes will have to wait until later in the day but everything seems fine from what I've tested. Once we get all the styles update we'll be applying a new design for the website created by our staff member Nexus, as well as a likely style change for the forum to something based on ProSilver so that it's more representative of phpBB 3.
Following that, we'll release a few more styles and look into possibly offering a configurable portal. I know this is heavily requested but there are many reasons for not implementing such a feature yet, namely stability, sql query heavyness and the lack of an officially realeased and supported portal module on PhpBB.com. From there, who knows. We'll keep it interesting.

The portal would be interesting, but really, only if its stable. If it is going to crash on us, that'd be no fun.
